The Nike Air Mag
In the movie Back to the Future II, Marty McFly wears a pair of self-tying Nike sneakers called the Air Mag. These shoes were not actually available to the public until 2016, when Nike released a limited edition of the sneaker. The Air Mag is a high-top sneaker with a built-in power lacing system that tightens and loosens the shoe automatically.
The Air Jordan 1
In “Back to the Future” Marty McFly wears a pair of Air Jordan 1s. The Air Jordan 1 is a basketball shoe that was first released in 1985. It was designed by Peter Moore and Bruce Kilgore, and it was the first Air Jordan shoe to be released to the public.
The Air Jordan 11
Marty McFly, the main character in the classic film Back to the Future, is known for his style. One of his most iconic looks is the pair of Air Jordan 11 sneakers he wears in the movie.
The Air Jordan 11 is a basketball shoe that was first released in 1995. It was designed by Tinker Hatfield and is considered one of the best basketball shoes ever made. The Air Jordan 11 has been released in many different colorways, but the most famous is the “Concord” colorway, which is what Marty McFly wears in the movie.
The Air Jordan 12
In Back to the Future Part II, Michael J. Fox’s character Marty McFly travels to the future, where he is surprised to find that his children have fallen into some bad habits. One of those bad habits is wearing terrible shoes. In a scene from the movie, Marty’s son pulls up his pants to reveal a pair of shoes that look like they belong in a bargain bin at a sporting goods store.
Marty is shocked by the sight of these shoes and asks his son where he got them. The son responds that he got them from “the back to the future store.” This is a reference to the fact that in the future, stores will sell nothing but cheap knock-offs of popular products from the past.
So, what does this have to do with Air Jordan 12s? Well, it turns out that the shoes worn by Marty’s son in Back to the Future Part II are actually a pair of Air Jordan 12s that have been distressed to look like they came from a discount store.
This is not the only time that Air Jordan 12s have been used in a movie. In fact, they were also worn by Denzel Washington in the movie Training Day.
The Air Jordan 13
The Air Jordan 13 was one of the shoes worn by Marty McFly in the 1989 classic film “Back to the Future Part II.” The shoes were designed by Tinker Hatfield and were inspired by a black cat. They were released in 1998 and quickly became a fan favorite. The Air Jordan 13 is currently available in a number of different colorways and styles.
The Air Jordan 14
In the movie Back to the Future Part II, all of the characters in the “future” (2015) were wearing incredibly high-tech, stylish shoes. One of the most popular pairs of shoes worn in the movie was Marty McFly’s self-lacing Air Jordan 14s. These shoes were first released to the public in 1998, and they have been a fan favorite ever since.
The Air Jordan 15
While there are many different shoes that Marty McFly wears throughout the Back to the Future trilogy, the Air Jordan 15 is the most iconic. First seen in Back to the Future Part II, the Air Jordan 15 was designed by Tinker Hatfield and was inspired by two very unlikely sources: flying saucers and Japanese samurai swords. The result was a sleek, futuristic-looking shoe that was unlike anything on the market at the time. The Air Jordan 15 quickly became one of Michael Jordan’s favorite shoes to play in and is still regarded as one of the greatest basketball shoes of all time.
The Air Jordan 16
In addition to the Nike shoes he wore in the movie, Marty McFly also rocked a pair of Air Jordan 16s. The Air Jordan 16s were released in 2001, and they were the first Air Jordans to be released after Michael Jordan retired from the NBA.
The Air Jordan 17
Marty McFly’s shoes in the movie Back to the Future II were the Air Jordan 17. The Air Jordan 17 was first released in 2002 and was Retro-ed in 2008. They are currently not in production, but there are many sites that sell them (both new and used). Below is a picture of the Air Jordan 17.
The Air Jordan 18
The Air Jordan 18 was worn by Michael Jordan in his final season with the Chicago Bulls, as he led them to victory in the 2002 NBA Finals. He would also go on to win the MVP award for that season. The shoes were designed by Tate Kuerbis and are inspired by the Jaguar XK120. They were released in 2003 and are considered to be one of the best Air Jordan models ever made.
